Covenant Construction Contract Consultants Ltd is a Cyprus based specialist firm of construction professionals that provide expert advice to clients in the industry on claims (preparation and defending), claims management, contract management and dispute resolution proceedings. Covenant’s areas of operation are mainly the Middle East (Gulf States) and Levant.
Covenant is seeking to employ construction professionals that specialise in the following disciplines:
Claims Expert
Main Responsibilities
· Review, analyse and tabulate documentation and data using scheduling or database software.
· Assist by drafting coherent correspondence and/or narratives for submission to clients.
· Analysing and compiling records in substantiation of claims/claim rebuttals.
· Share knowledge and provide skills support to other team members.
· Objectively identifying and selecting appropriate methodologies for inclusion in claim submissions.
· Drafting discreet sections of reports with limited supervision.
· Undertake consultations with contracting parties in an endeavour to reach agreements.
· Apportion liability for delays.
· Analysis of progress data for schedule purposes.
· Review of contemporaneous records and evaluate any entitlement to quantum claims.
Minimum Requirements
Between 15 to 20 years’ postgraduate construction industry experience in quantity surveying, cost engineering or construction programming and ideally construction legal academic qualifications commensurate with an individual operating in this capacity. What is essential is a demonstrable experience of dispute management and ideally involvement in providing expert advice in arbitration, adjudication, mediation or expert witness proceedings.
The candidates will be evaluated based on their ability to satisfy the following credentials and expertise:
· Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related subjects.
· Legal qualifications such as LLB or LLM (Construction Law) will be preferred.
· Fellow or Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb / MCIArb).
· Fellow or Member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS / MRICS).
· A minimum of 10 years’ experience on large construction projects.
· Strong understanding of dispute resolution processes and procedures.
· Proven experience in dealing with claims; preparing and/or defending claims.
· Expertise in writing claim narratives.
· Proficiency in working with FIDIC.
· Good interpersonal skills including proficiency with presentations and ability to work well in a team environment.
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
· Able to develop good working relationships with clients and their agents.
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
Benefits
· Remuneration (paid in 12 monthly salaries): €65.000 - €70.000 Gross per annum

Forensic Planner
Main Responsibilities
· Assist with dispute resolution and claims planning matters on multiple projects, including construction scheduling, delay and disruption analysis.
· Project based tasks to include fact-finding to detailed analysis, quantification of delay and damages, economic modelling, and strategy formation.
· Demonstration of critical paths and consequent disruption.
· Development of the master and construction schedules, liaison clients’ personnel to ensure all programmes are consistent with construction schedules.
· Demonstration of entitlement to extension of time occurring as a result of delay/ disruption/ loss of efficiency. Production rate analysis and work cycle analysis to demonstrate entitlement to extension of time, drafting of claims and negotiation strategy.
· Demonstrable experience with measured mile methodology of preparing or defending disruption claims.
· Development of the works baseline programme using Primavera P6.
· Preparation in anticipation of defences to counterclaims and provide advice regarding retrospective analysis for extension of time, prolongation costs, disruption, programme critiques and delay analysis critiques.
Minimum Requirements
Between 15 to 20 years’ postgraduate construction industry experience in engineering, planning, project controls or relative field. What is essential is a demonstrable experience of forensic type of investigation of claims and contemporary records and proficiency with Primavera P6.
The candidates will be evaluated based on their ability to satisfy the following credentials and expertise:
· Bachelor Degree in engineering, project management or similar is essential.
· A minimum of 10 years’ experience in planning including delay analysis.
· Professional qualifications such as: MSc in Construction Law & Arbitration, MCIArb or similar equivalents is desired but not essential.
· Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
· A proven history in forensic planning type role is essential; minimum 5 years’ experience.
· A history of delivering delay analysis commissions including schedule analysis and report writing.
· Flexibility and demonstrable creative problem solving skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills are required and ability to work as a member of a team.
· Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential.
· Experience of working in the Middle East region is desirable.
· Strong skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Primavera 6, as well as other scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
