Expression of Interest for the license to use/exploit the Cyprus Airways Logos and Trademarks
The Republic of Cyprus (“Republic”), the owner of the logos and trademarks of Cyprus Airways (“Logos and Trademarks”), is inviting interested parties to submit an Expression of Interest (“EoI”) for the exclusive license to use/exploit the Logos and Trademarks for the operation of a flights schedule out of the Republic (“Transaction”).
Cyprus Airways was the national flag carrier of the Republic of Cyprus until January 2015, when it decided to terminate its operations and initiate voluntary liquidation.
On 15 June 2015, the Republic launched a process to determine interest for the Transaction. On the basis of the interest submitted in that process, the Government reserved the right to execute a subsequent formal process (“Process”) to award to the appropriate counterparty the exclusive license to use/exploit the Logos and Trademarks for the operation of a flights schedule out of the Republic.
The first phase of the Process is to request the submission of EoI(Note) from parties wishing to participate in the Process, in order to identify those that demonstrate the legal, financial and technical capacity required for the Transaction.
Expressions of interest should be submitted not later than 18:00 GMT on 9 February 2016.
How to Apply
Interested Parties can obtain the EoI invitation (“Invitation”), which regulates the terms and conditions pertaining to the Process, including instructions on how to submit the EoI, by sending an email with subject “Eol for Cyprus Airways Logos and Trademarks” to [email protected] and [email protected].
Note: Parties, which have submitted their EoI under the process launched on 15 June 2015 and have been notified in writing by the Republic that they fulfil the eligibility requirements of that process, are not required to re-submit their EoI subject to the provisions defined in the Invitation.
