Internal Accountant

M.M. Makronisos Marina Limited would like to announce a new vacant position in the capacity of Internal Accountant.
The main role and responsibilities of the position are the following:
· Record standard journal entries.
· Prepare, examine and analyse accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
· Preparation tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
· Preparation of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, deadlines and other requirements.
· Maintain and analyse budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
· Preparation of balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flows and other reports.
· Process payroll in a timely manner.
· Preparation of payments by verifying documentation and requesting the necessary approvals.
· Issue invoices to customers.
· Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account.
· Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.

The main qualifications and education requirements are the following:
· BSc in Accounting and knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
· Holding one of the major accountancy body qualifications will be considered an advantage - i.e. ACCA.
· At least 3+ years of proven working experience in a similar position.
· Multilingual ability. Excellent knowledge of both spoken and written forms of English is required.
· Proficient in MS Office Suite of products.
