AEK Athens complete Tomáš Pekhart signing
AEK Athens finalised the signing of Czech striker Tomáš Pekhart from Bundesliga outfit FC Ingolstadt 04 on Monday.
The 26-year-old signed an 18-month contract with Gus Poyet’s side with an option for two more years.
Pekhart has represented the Czech Republic on 19 occasions, scoring twice.
Prior to Ingolstadt, Pekhart represented 1. FC Nürnberg, Sparta Prague, Jablonec, Slavia Prague, Southampton and Tottenham.
Poyet is well acquainted to the forward’s abilities having worked together during their time at Spurs when the Uruguayan was assistant manager to Juande Ramos.
It was a busy transfer deadline day for AEK as they had previously completed the signing of Manchester City's Bruno Zuculini.
