Olympiacos get back to winning ways with victory over Xanthi
A solitary goal by Mexican forward Alan Pulido was enough to give Greek giants Olympiacos a 1-0 over Skoda Xanthi in the Superleague Greece on Saturday.
The Legend got back to winning ways after seeing their record-breaking streak come to an end last week.
Olympiacos had previously secured their 17th successive league victory - the longest winning start to a European league season this millennium.
Crete outfit Platanias stopped the winning streak and became the first side to take points away from Olympiacos, however Xanthi could not achieve the same result.
Pulido's goal at Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium sending Marco Silva's men 19 points clear from second placed AEK Athens who host third placed PAOK on Sunday.
