34 y/o arrested for fraudulent sale of car in Limassol
A 34-year-old man was arrested following the fraudulent sale of a car to a woman from Limassol, police reported on Monday.
Specifically, the woman filed a complaint with the police in November 2016. She informed authorities that the man had introduced himself as a car salesman and that she paid him 5,500 euros as a deposit for a vehicle.
According to authorities, the man informed the woman that the vehicle would arrive in three weeks from abroad.
The woman told police that after the three weeks passed she contacted the 34-year-old, who gave various excuses for delaying the delivery of the vehicle.
A court-ordered arrest warrant was issued for the man, and police discovered him yesterday.
He was arrested and remanded into custody.
Limassol police are continuing their investigations.
