Cyprus Symphony Orchestra offers Masterclass on island

The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation in its continuous effort to further educate and promote musicians both in Cyprus and abroad, is organising a series of masterclasses addressed to opera singers and conductors.
Under the guidance of two world renowned professors, Julius Kalmar (for conductors) and Aris Christofelis (for opera singers) the best and most talented musicians from Cyprus and abroad will receive further education in their field and will have the opportunity to perform with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra in two concerts.
Candidates that applied come from various countries such as Hungary, Greece, Italy, Canada and Cyprus.
The programme will include symphonies, overtures, arias and duets from operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
The concerts of the active conductors and opera singers will take place as follows:
Larnaca: Thursday 18 June 2015, Municipal Theatre, 20:30
Nicosia: Friday 19 June 2015, Pallas Theatre, Paphos Gate, 20:30
Entrance: €12 / €7 (18- 26 years old and pensioners) / free for under 18
