Cyprus' Christoforou and Artymata qualify for Rio Olympics

Cypriot track and field sprinter Eleni Artymata and cyclist Antri Christoforou are the latest Cypriots to both qualified for the Rio Olympics.
 
Artymata took part in the Prague International Meeting and finished first clocking 23.19 in the 200 metre race.
 
The qualifying limit for Rio is 23.20.
 
It is the third time that Artymata will participate in the Olympics.
 
Joining Artymata is cyclist Christoforou who secured participation for Rio qualifying via her ranking.
 
The International Cycling Union announced the Olympic ranking includes the top ranked 100 athletes from May 31, 2016.
 
Christoforou is ranked 87th having accumulated 109 points.
 
Cyprus presently has 12 athletes that have qualified for the Games.
