Rio 2016: Georgiou injured during final, sailors into top 10
Cyprus gymnast Marios Georgiou was unable to get on the podium after reaching the men's individual all-around gymnastics final on Wednesday due to injury.
Georgiou participated in the horizontal bar, parallel bars and vault competitions but failed to get on the scoreboard as he had to pull out after hurting himself.
Laser sailor Pavlos Kontides completed race five in 25th place and race six in sixth place, thus ending the day overall in 10th place on 53 points.
The London 2012 silver medallist is due to complete races seven and eight later today as he hopes to get closer to the final medals race.
His fellow sailor Andreas Cariolou, competing in the RS:X class, completed race five in tenth place and race six in sixth, with an overall standing in 10th on 56 points.
Cariolou will also complete races seven and eight today in his pursuit for a coveted Olympic medal.
