Dijsselbloem confirms: Eurogroup to resume at noon on Sunday
Saturday’s Eurogroup broke up with no joint statement.
Eurogroup ministers are set to continue the talks at noon (Greek time) on Sunday.
Previously, the prime minister of Malta, Joseph Muscat, has tweeted that the Eurogroup meeting failed to reach an agreement.
Jeroen Dijsselbloem, head of the eurogroup, confirmed that the meeting has been adjourned until 11am tomorrow morning.
“We have had an in-depth discussion of the Greek proposals. The issue of credibility and trust was discussed, and also of course the financial issues involved. It is still very difficult, but work is still in progress” the President of the Eurogroup stated.
On his part, Pierre Moscovici told the reporters that there is always hope, while the Greek Finance Minister, Euclid Tsakalotos, exited the building without making any comments:
