Eurosuccess participating in EU training project ECOLIVE

Eurosuccess Consulting is participating in the European project ECOLIVE - Training for the Production of Organic Olive Oil, co-funded by the European Union within the framework of the Erasmus + (Action KA2) program and started in September 2015. ECOLIVE is The result of a new strategic partnership between six partner organizations from four different European countries, with the ultimate goal of helping olive oil producing organizations in the certification and advertising of organic olive oil.

What is ECOLIVE project?

Olive oil is the main ingredient of the Mediterranean diet and the countries around the Mediterranean Sea have the largest olive oil production in the world. Olive oil accounts for much of the export activity of these countries in the agricultural sector. However, there is a growing trend in the international market for organic products and there is a growing need for Mediterranean producers to be able to cope with this need.

Organic olive oil is a high quality product, of high value compared to other types of olive oil and certified by the relevant quality agencies in each Member State. In order to be able to produce and sell organic olive oil, there is a need to support the training of organic olive oil production operators, members of agricultural cooperatives and managers of companies working to convert conventional forms of oil production into production Olive oil through organic farming. Developing the capacity of these organizations in the production, certification and marketing of organic olive oil is the main objective of the ECOLIVE project.

What are the main aims of the project?

The main objectives of the project are to educate organizations involved in the production of olive oil in the certification and marketing of organic olive oil through digital modern methods. Achieving the objectives of the project will help to improve the production of olive oil in the participating countries and to increase the income of farmers, since the selling price of organic olive oil is much higher than the price of conventional olive oil. This will also contribute to the local and regional development of the olive oil production areas.

The project partnership

The project brings together a total of six partner organizations from four different countries: Eurosuccess Consulting (Cyprus), MAKRO Yonetim Gelistirme Danismanlik Ltd. Sti. (Turkey), Action Synergy SA (Greece), the Unified Agricultural Cooperative of Kefallinia and Ithaca (Greece), the SVI.MED Centro Euromediterraneo Perlo Sviluppo Sostenibile Onlus Associazione (Italy) and the IZMIR coordinator ABIGEM DANISMANLIK ve OZEL EGITIM AS (Turkey).
