Eurosuccess: 3rd partners meeting of OSTESA EU in Nicosia
OSTESA EU – Organizational Success through Employee Satisfaction is an Erasmus + project co-funded by the EU with the main aim to generate organizational success through employee satisfaction. It was approved in Poland and it involves five partners from five different countries.
What is OSTESA EU?
Some companies are truly holding their own in today’s economic climate. They are continuing to exceed customer expectations, maintain employee productivity, and innovate to gain a competitive edge-all within the confines of reductions in staff, budgets and income. They are cultivating a positive organizational climate in a negative economic one. Key to this success is leadership that encourages a collaborative, synergetic, and creative work environment. In a positive organizational climate, employees have the confidence and stability they need to serve customers effectively.
Therefore, the aim of OSTESA EU project is to increase the competitiveness of SMEs by supporting creation of a positive organizational climate that is assumed to be a major force in influencing employees’ motivation and behaviour, through developing and improving the transversal competencies of managers and employees.
What are the objectives of this project?
Improving the organizational climate in SMEs, motivation and engagement of employees, increasing the availability of the tools for improving an organizational climate through developing competencies, improving the capacity of employers and HR managers to understand the need to work on better organizational climate in enterprises and improving the capacity of trainers and HR departments, are just some of the objectives that the OSTESA EU project will attempt to reach during its implementation.
Who can benefit from OSTESA EU?
SME general managers, business owners, line managers, SME employees, trainers, consultants, partner organizations and their staff, VET organizations, HR departments, public and private labour actors, are the ones to benefit from this project.
The OSTESA EU was the initiative of the OIC Poland Foundation from Lublin, Poland, and the partner organizations that the project involves are Eurosuccess Consulting from Cyprus, Inova Mais from Portugal, Fondazione ISTUD from Italy and DAP Services from Czech Republic.
News from the project
On the 11th and 12th of April 2017, the 3rd partners meeting was organized in Nicosia, Cyprus. During the meeting, the partners discussed the progress of the project, especially what concerns the development of the project output O2 –Organizational Climate Assessment Tool, the development of the project output O3 – Programme Toolkit, the development of the project output O4 - Guide for general managers, owners of SMEs, line managers how to improve organizational climate by changing leadership style and the project output O5 - Train the Trainer Package - TtT Package. Among other things, partners discussed the progress of the dissemination and quality process activities and they have defined the next immediate deadlines of the project implementation.
The most important phase in the project for now is the development of Output 2 - Organizational Climate Assessment Tool, which will be piloted in all partner countries during the next months (May – September 2017). For the pilot testing SME Managers will be recruited to test the tool. The progress of Output 3 - Programme Toolkit is also ongoing, and the partners are in the process of developing the training materials. In November 2017, the short-term joint staff training activity will take place in Milan, Italy, with combination to the next partners meeting.
